About The Cotton Mill

Raleigh’s Cotton Mill condominium building was originally a portal for the [still functional] rail freight lines on the building’s east side. Other previous lives include warehousing for a variety of goods including carpets, bicycles, & other items shipped in for local trade.
The Cotton Mill is the only large scale residential renovation of its kind in downtown Raleigh, and is a member of the Downtown Raleigh Residents Association. The urban lifestyle concept and proximity to many restaurants, locally owned shops, galleries and museums appeal to those wanting to experience city life from outside the automobile frame. Supporting local vendors is vital to sustained growth and revitalization of the inner city.
Some quick facts:
- Original construction: late 1800’s
